Our new service approach will try to offer you the right appointment to meet your immediate health needs.
For routine matters you can normally be seen within a few days.
If you feel that your case is more urgent then please let the receptionist know and she will find the best available appointment for your needs.
You may not always be able to see the GP.
So, how will this change affect you?
Over the coming months you will notice that our reception staff will ask you for a brief outline of your problem when you ring for an appointment.
Our staff are already trained to deal with medical receptionist responsibilities In addition we are adding training in how best to help patients find the right person or service in our practice team, or another health service.
We are adding more nursing hours and will have the service of a pharmacist in the practice for part of the week to help with medication requests.
Our reception staff are not being intrusive. They have been trained to respect your confidentiality. It may mean that you will not need to wait to see a GP.
The choice to request a GP appointment will remain available.
